| About Fulmont Community Church Purpose Statement | Statment Of Faith | History Our Purpose Statement: "To be focused on God through worship, teaching the Word of God and presenting the Good News of Jesus Christ using our gifts and abilities. We will encourage each other to live in a way that pleases God and share God's purposes for our lives by meeting spiritual and physical needs in our community and world." Some explanation: The purpose of Fulmont Community Church is based upon the words of Jesus given in Matthew 22:36-40 and Matthew 28:19, 20 and the five-fold Purposes of the first New Testament Church as recorded in Acts 2:42-47. These texts read as follows: "`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Everything therefore, that Fulmont Community Church does will revolve around the principles of these Scriptures, which are: A Community of Worship & Prayer Expanded Purpose Statement 1. To focus on and follow God's leadership continually. The motto of Fulmont Community Church: "A Place To Believe, Belong and Be Real" |
